How Coaching Could Help You Manage YOUR ADHD

The Life You Want is Within Your Reach.

ADHD is unique to every person. Commonalities like impulsivity, difficulty with time management, deadlines, and getting started seem to be among the most common. You are not alone if you are wondering how coaching might help.

Coaching can be highly beneficial for individuals with ADHD by providing personalized strategies to improve executive functioning skills, such as time management and organization. As a coach, I work collaboratively with clients to set specific goals and create actionable steps to achieve them. Through regular check-ins and accountability, coaching can help individuals stay on track, manage challenges effectively, and build self-confidence. Additionally, a coach can offer emotional support and guidance in developing coping mechanisms for common ADHD-related issues like procrastination and impulsivity. By focusing on strengths and implementing tailored approaches, coaching can empower individuals with ADHD to reach their full potential in various aspects of their lives.

The difference between coaching and self-managed work is the accountability that comes with a personal relationship with a professional both familiar with and sensitive to the specific struggles of those with ADHD. Often, knowing someone is counting on you to follow through is enough to motivate an ADHDer to action. However, the beauty of the ongoing coaching relationship is that when faced with a challenge or a missed deadline or opportunity you have the opportunity and safe environment to self-reflect upon what IS and IS NOT working with regard to the strategies you are currently using.

I do not believe that there is one answer or solution to the struggles of ADHD and each client has a unique set of experiences and motivators that will allow us to partner to move you closer to the life you want to live. As such, I tailor coaching plans to fit the needs of each client. I offer 25 minute and 50 minute individual coaching sessions as well as one-off or package accountability coaching that might look like texts, emails or short phone calls. I know that support can be critical when trying to overcome lifelong habits.

If you or someone you love is struggling with ADHD, book a free 15minute consultation and let’s discuss how I can help.
